No Religion.. Just a Relationship

So..I was talking with my friend today on facebook about something really annoying that happend to him today. It gave me the inspiration to write this new blog!
Okay so you may be reading this knowing your a Christian. (and thats great!) but you may be reading this thinking you are a Christian. (and thats bad). Maybe you have been told that being a Christian is about asking for forgiveness (which is partly right). But that is not all of what its about. Not even close. I have often been asked "what religion are you?" And I simply reply that I dont really have one. DO NOT take that as I am saying I do not believe in Jesus. ( because I DO!) I absolutely hate the word religion. Christianity should not be considered a religion. Religion is a belief based apon tradition and rituals. Being a Christian should bot be a religion.. it should be a relationship. You may not agree with what I am saying at all.. and thats okay. But when you are radically saved by the blood of Jesus Christ, you need to have a relationship. Be in constant communication.. spend time in His word. Love Him!
Now I am not saying if you dont talk to Him for an hour that you are going to Hell. Thats not right at all.. I'm saying that Jesus died for you... died.. brutally murdered... nailed to the cross.. beat.. you ought to love Him enough to communicate with Him. If you dont... He is forgiving... Once you are saved.. always saved... It talks in the Bible about a man that turned away from God. Someone asked Jesus if that man was going to live with God in Heaven. Jesus replied, "He who as turned away, never really recieved God."
So when someone asks you next time what your Religion is... are you gonna say Christianity.. or I have a relationship with Jesus Christ. Think about it!
God Bless! :)

Its a Forever Kinda Love...

Today I was talking to this guy who is like my best friend. He informed me that he had been going through an extremely rough time lately. I wish I could tell him that I knew what he was going through. Then I went home and my sister had rented some movies. What did she pick? P.S. I Love You. Of course a depressing movie to start out my spring break. haha. While I was watching the movie, Holly (the main character) made a statement that caught my attention. She looked at her mother and said, "Why did God take my husband away? Why would God kill him?" This is a very common think to say among people everywhere. Sometimes bad things happen to good people. God doesn't "kill" or "take away" your loved ones. A lot of bad things we go through are a result of our sin. That's not to say that all of them are. My grandma passed away in 2003 from lung cancer. God didn't kill her, it was just her time to go and live with her Heavenly Father. I try not to think of her death as my loss, but as her gain. Sometimes bad things happen without explanation But don't think for a second that just because your parents get divorced or a loved one dies that there is no God. He is out there. In fact he is right there next to you, every second of the day. If there is no God, than how do you explain someone recovering from a deadly virus or a deadly car accident? Just look at the beautiful mountains or the lovely beaches. I don't know about you, but I really don't think all that happens just by chance. God is here, and he loves you. He wants you to love Him as well. The aspect about Jesus that is truly shocking to me is that we are soo unworthy, but He still wants us. He doesn't need us, but He still loves us. When He was dying on that cross, He was thinking of you. He was seeing your face. So the next time something goes wrong, just know that you will always have Jesus. He will love you no matter what you do or say. The chance is now. Let Him know that you love Him. He loves you! Its a forever kinda love....
God Bless!

It was meant out of love; Not out of hate...

Today I tried to talk to someone about Jesus. It didn't work out as well as I had hoped. I was told I was crazy and I felt sort of rejected. But that is okay, I just want you to know that I was out of love, and not out of hate. God never said spreading his word was easy. But it shouldn't be. Jesus died for me and you and you and you and you and you and oh yeah you back there. Do we think dying for someone is the easiest thing on the planet to do? People say there is no Jesus Christ. They say this because, "If he were the Messiah, then he wouldn't have died." But in fact, he was the Messiah because he did die. The reason he died was to you wouldn't have to. I don't mean literally; I mean eternally. God loves you and He always will. No matter what mistake you have made. They are all the same in the eyes of Jesus. I'm just here to tell you that Jesus is the one and only way to live out your "Happily-ever-after." He loves you and without him, we are nothing. Like I earlier stated, your mistakes don't matter and its never to late. Believe me, I have had my fair share of mistakes. We all have, but God still loves us. And he always will. Jesus died for us. He wasn't mocking us or trying to make us mad. He just loved us. He died out of love; not out of hate.
God Bless you!
